Leaves dancing across the street, the first snowfall, a sip of coffee, and sharing a smile in passing. These small moments make up the greater tapestry of life. If life itself is a sacred art, I believe teaching should flow from that place.
I'm an American soprano and teaching artist currently based in Cincinnati, OH. My purpose is to help you discover what makes you feel alive and whole through music.
I work with students to grow as musicians and embrace themselves wholly. Through scientifically based vocal pedagogy and mindfulness I guide students to embrace their unique artistic journey.
I'm a soprano dedicated to teaching and performance. I earned my Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Viterbo University and was a student of Daniel Johnson-Wilmot. I'm currently a student of Karen S. Lykes at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. I received my Master of Music in Vocal Performance Spring 2023 and will begin my doctoral studies at CCM Fall 2023.
I am a two-time first place winner and one time second place winner from the Schubert Club Competition. I've been a three-time NSA semi-finalist and second place winner, as well as NATSAA's 2020 Alternate in the North Central Region. My recent performances include chorus for Cincinnati Opera’s Aida during the 2022 season.
I'm an active teacher with over five years of private teaching experience and currently a Graduate Assistant for the CCM Voice Department.
My Teaching Philosophy: Life itself is a sacred art. Leaves dancing across the street, the first snowfall, a sip of coffee, and sharing a smile in passing. These small moments make up the greater tapestry of life. If life itself is a sacred art, I believe teaching should flow from that place. My teaching philosophy is rooted in artistic wholeness. I work with students to grow as musicians and embrace themselves wholly. Through scientifically based vocal pedagogy, vocal yoga, and mindfulness I guide students to embrace their unique artistic journey.
My private voice studio is primarily online at this time. I teach a wide range of ages beginning as young as 6 years old. I am able to tailor lessons to fit your personal goals. Generally lessons occur once a week for 30, 45, or 60 minutes depending on which lesson length is best for you. I do offer 15 min consultations to discuss my methods, understand your goals, and create a space where we can get to know each other better. Fall Semester Registration is currently OPEN.

"Audra had a really great approach to singing that involved the mind, body, and breath. It helped me find my natural voice and develop healthy habits to sustain in the future. I'm excited to work with her again!"

"My daughter loves her private lessons with Audra. Not only has she become a better singer, but her confidence has significantly increased as well."
